Biography
André Giesemann studied Communication Design / Photography at the University of applied sciences in Hamburg, Germany.
His nightclubs’s photographs show the importance of use. The nightclubs may be ugly, dingy rooms, but they are living spaces charged with the traces of human presence.
He won the Canon Profifoto Award for his work „Vom Bleiben“.
His photos appeared in the British Journal of Photography magazine.
In 2017 his work "La Boite de Nuit, Exposition d'Architecture" is exhibited at the Villa Noailles in Hyeres, France. In 2019 his work " Reve Electro - Exhibition about the History of Electronic Music, from Kraftwerk to Daft Punk " will be exhibited at the Philharmonie de Paris.
